combining and coordinating diverse elements into a whole

Trickhouse Live is an integrative arts series that brings together people working with words, images, sounds, videos, and a variety of performances. The series serves as a venue for visiting artists to interact with local artists and for the borders between genres and mediums to be permeable. Trickhouse Live is a physical world extension of the online cross-genre arts journal, Trickhouse.org which is based in Tucson.

Performer Bios

T Loving is a Kentucky native who calls Tucson home. T has been acting, singing, and dancing for anyone who would listen for over 25 years and professionally for over 20. Some of T’s favorite roles include Adelaide (Guys and Dolls), Weird Sister #2 (Macbeth), Callie (Stop Kiss), Pam/ Popo (Fat Men In Skirts), Steele (A Piece of My Heart), Agnes (Agnes Under the Big Top) & Snoopy (You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown). T also has a strong background in technical theatre as a costume and props master & designer, stage manager, light/ sound designer & operator, and director.

Since moving to Tucson six years ago Michael Hieber has been heavily involved in the local music scene, playing with groups as diverse as Kate Becker and the Zodiacs (dance, groove), Hondo - The Andy Hersey Band (country), and The Odd Association (hip-hop).  In addition to the more mainstream sounding bands he has drawn inspiration from his time playing with jazz and classical outfits such as the Arizona Symphony Orchestra, the Anchorage Opera, the 415 String Quartet, the Eric Muhler Trio, and the Edan Gillian Trio to name a few.  As an avid composer and arranger, Michael has also scored numerous short films through Pan Left Productions and other local film companies.

Erin Wilcox is a writer, poet, musician, and editor. Recently, her creative work has been featured in Praxis: Gender and Cultural Critiques, Spiral Orb, Soundzine, StoneboatVeil: Journal of Darker Musings, Short and Twisted (Celapene Press), Cold Flashes: Literary Snapshots of Alaska (University of Alaska Press), and in radio broadcasts in Alaska and Arizona. She has collaborated with musician-composer Michael Hieber on several projects, providing lyrics for his score to Winky-Smiley Face and voice for his score to Esmerelda del Desierto, both films produced by Oscar Jímenez. Michael recorded the audio component for a collaborative poetry installation Erin exhibited at the Front Gallery in 2010 to raise funds for Casa Libre. The nonfiction editor of Drunken Boat: An Online Journal of Art and Literature and former copyeditor for Alaska Quarterly Review, Erin maintains a vigorous freelance editorial practice, contracting with independent writers and publishers including Random House, Privateer Press, Kore Press, and Writer’s Digest. Erin is the founding coordinator of the Editorial Freelancers Association’s Arizona chapter and a staff editor at The Editorial Department. She writes for various trade and scholarly publications including Copyediting and TEXT: Journal of Writing and Writing Courses. She holds an MFA in fiction from the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
